A 5-year-old girl, who was frequently ill and continually on antibiotics came to our clinic. Exhibiting persistent high fever, she was admitted to the other hospital three times in eight months, each time diagnosed with a urinary infection and treated with IV antibiotics. She underwent multiple tests, but all the efforts went in vain as the root cause of the recurrent urinary tract infections remained undetermined. Other doctors advised the parents to focus on the child’s hygiene, suggesting that she would get better in time. Her parents had known that hygiene alone wouldn’t improve their child’s condition. When they did blood test her CRP was always very high. She got admitted to the hospital 3 times in 8 months which they prescribed antibiotics IV and diagnosed her with urine infection. This happened 3 times but every one just gave her antibiotics and as soon as she was ok they let us go home without any further investigation. I Mean right investigation. They did many test but not able to find the source of infection.
